 The Dela Cruz - Nebril Family Reunion
Friday - The Drive - i wake up early and pack my isht together. you know me, waiting till the last minute. so yeah i run all my clothes and stuff together and we head off. i drove on the way there while listening to the great sounds of, the postal service, death cab for cutie, afi, linkin park, the white stripes and bob dylan. good stuff. well, when we got to salinas we decided to stay for the night. it was cool the same ol' stuff, meeting uncles and aunts and chillin. after getting settled my uncle jhune brought us to his work. he works at IDT(i think thats the right acronym) and he maintains the machines that makes micro processors and analyzes the performance. we were standing around million dollar machines that hold extreme precision. it was cool. then we visit kuya jason, and he tells us the story of him saving all the mexicans from the burning inferno "vamanos! silencio!". we went home after that and we went to bed. good day.
Saturday - The Picnic - from salinas, i drove up to sacramento for the picnic. we made some good time and we got there when it started. i was dead tired though from sleeping late, waking up early, and driving up there. so i took a nap for the first hour then ate. cousins came and we chatted talked and see how eachother was doing. its always great to see how much has changed within two years. it was cool hanging out with cousins. but like, i dunno...i dont think i was feeling the park much. i mean, it was great talking to people and such, but it wasnt as exciting and fun as last time. maybe cause i was tired. and maybe its because it came first and the dance second. i dunno, it was cool though. well, after the picnic i left with the requiro's to go to the hotel and stay a night with them. we got to the hotel, checked in and chilled for the night. we went to mimi's cafe for din din and had a grand ol time talking and reminicing. then after that we went to sleep. oh yeah, and i'm sorry for snoring so loud >_< the make shift bed we made was just soooo comfy ^_^
Sunday - The Dinner - hmmm....for some weird reason the day is hard to remember for me. i remember i woke up at the hotel, then we went somewhere. i think we went to uncle arting's house. then a bunch of us went to the mall. then... i think when we got back from the mall it was time to get ready and go to the dinner. yeah, thats right. ^_^ yeah, that is. then it got fun ^_^ the dinner started off slow as it usually does, with of course, eating dinner. i met with a few cousins said hi and such. it was cool. as tables were being called to eat, i was playing with the wax from the table when jhermaine came to me and said that i didnt say hi, and i promised i would say hi first last time. now to be honest i didnt remember untill she reminded me just then, and i felt bad :( cause i really do remember saying that. i'm a bad cousin, lol. anyway after dinner it was time for performances. and to kick off the lil talent show was my cousin anthony. he sang and it was phenomenal, i was like, "damn, thats awesome" and my dad is all "now thats a voice" it was great stuff. then one of my aunts comes to me and says to me "get ready richie, youre next" O_O gah! i havent been in front of a crowd since what?......ever since tennis season started senior year. crap, i was dang nervous. i was all fumbly and isht >_< but i did my best. i performed romance and blackbird, no singing though. that would have been disasterous. my mom was a bit dissapointed that i didnt do dust in the wind. i was just too nervous about my voice. then after me, was my uncle nil and grandpa celin and they did a trumpet duo, it was cool stuff. and after that was dancing. man, dancing is fun. but jeez, i'm really shy about the whole dancing thing now. i think its cause i havent done it in a long time. people were all "richie! dance! i wanna watch you dance! cmon! go to the middle! DANCE!!!!" lol, well thats a lil over the top, but you get the picture. when everybody else started dancing and a good group was out there i started to loosen up, just as long as i'm not the center of attention. gah, that makes me nervous now. anyway, the night went on (hit my pics page to see whats up) and we had our fun. and said our goodbyes and exchanged numbers and AIM names. which when i think back to it, i didnt get very many contact info -_- i need to get in touch with jhermaine or rozel so i could get anthony's sn and everybody else's. oh yeah, man, i'm turbo crappy with names. so i'm going to feel really bad and awkward when i ask. aaaanyway. lets move on to me and anthony's mini after party. lol.
Late Saturday Night - Burning Gas - i go over to the hotel to stay the night again, but this time with kuya dan, kuya darrel, ate rose, ate darlene, uncle... and the list goes on. but anyway, we chill in the hotel room and anthony calls and says he's heading over to chill, he comes up, hangs out and we just talk about awesome funny stuff(oh and also watch a hermaphrodite surgery to become just a man). but all of a sudden the subject of lighting farts comes up. i've seen it done on internet vids, and heard stories but have never seen it, same with kuya darrel. but anthony is all like,"yeah! it really works, do you have a lighter?" so i take out a lighter and we go at it, trying to light farts, from here on out, non-stop laughter. kuya was lighting and anthony was fartin it up. it wasnt working at first but when it did....oh man, me and kuya darrel busted up laughing and was sooo amazed. damn it was so freaking hilarious! then anthony wanted to see it, so we busted out the digital camcorder and start recording, then as luck would have it, WOOF! burning fart on camera. kuya dan is going to make it an mpeg as soon as he could and he's going to send it to me. oh man, its so freaking hilarious.
Sunday - Went Home - i went home.
and thats my day by day on my reunion. yeah yeah, i know i suck at telling stories, but hey, at least its documented so i dont forget. i have such cool cousins to hang out with, good times good times. i'm definately going to visit them more often.

Fight Club - i saw the surprise ending coming easily but it was still damn damn good.10/10
O' Brother Where Art Thou - loosely based on the oddyssey, it was well made and entertaining 8.5/10
Spike Jonze DVD - his style is very pop culture-ish. not so much thought provoking as michel gondry 7/10
